ProductDescription : Varistor is the abbreviation for voltage sensitive resistor, which is a nonlinear resistor component. The resistance value of a varistor is related to the voltage applied at both ends. When the voltage applied to the varistor is within its nominal value, the resistance value of the resistor shows an infinite state, with almost no current passing through. When the voltage at both ends of the varistor is slightly higher than the nominal voltage, the varistor quickly breaks down and conducts, and its resistance value quickly decreases, causing the resistor to be in a conducting state. When the voltage drops below the nominal voltage, its resistance value begins to increase and the varistor returns to a high resistance state. When the voltage at both ends of the varistor exceeds its maximum limit voltage, it will completely breakdown and be unable to recover on its own.
