The truck winch is also called a bolt-on winch, where you can "bolt on" to any part of the trailer. It can also be permanently welded on the trailer. It's useful for any bottom mount application, and if bolted, it can be unscrewed and easily moved to different locations of the trailer for better winch control. Lashing winches have a quick release option, similar to a ratchet - allowing faster operation. The trailer strap winch holds up to 3' of 2" webbing. Because it can store that amount of webbing, you will have more length of winch strap to tie down larger cargo items. Each winch is made of durable steel with a black-painted finish, protecting itself from corrosion and rust. With a working load limit of 3,333 lbs., you can trust our winches for trucks to withstand heavy loads and endure the toughest road conditions. For tensioning, the WSTDA recommends in section 4.3.5 that "When using any winch, the winch mandrel shall have a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) wraps of webbing. Two to four wraps will appear like four to eight layers of webbing. Less than two wraps may result in strap slippage; more than four will place unnecessary strain on the winch.
