This listing is for TWO Teak Wood Window Planter Box or Trellis Supports. The code for these is SM8 and they are sold in pairs or sets of two. They measure 12 inches long x 6 and 7/8 (6.875) inches tall x 1.25 thick and are used with our 6 and 8 inch wide teak planters. The ledge or part where the planter sits is 6 inches wide. These two supports can also be used for hooking trellises to a fence or wall--see the last picture. These solid teak wood supports are used with our three and four inch wide teak herb planters and our six inch wide window box planters. We have four different sizes:SM8 are for our six and eight inch window box planters-these are what are for sale in this listing=one pair or two pieces. SM4 are for our herb box planters SM6 are for our herb and six inch window box planters SM12 are for our twelve inch window box planters. These are sold in pairs.
For the longer planter boxes (48 inches) three of the supports are recommended.These can be hooked to fences or walls. They can also be used with our teak trellises to hook the trellis to a building or fence--see the attached picture. In order to ensure a source of consistently superior teak wood that is also environmentally-friendly, we have developed and continue to maintain our own teak plantations. Many years ago, we planted hundreds of thousands of trees in Costa Rica in an effort to reforest areas of this country that had been completely denuded of forest. The trees are tended with great expertise and care, and in a process spanning decades, they produce the finest teak wood in the world. Each of our plantations is managed in a sustainable, environmentally-sound way so that at least our small part of the tropical rain forest will be permanently preserved.
